What is a career as a dental technician in healthcare?
Working toward dentist’s or doctor’s prescriptions, you’ll make the dentures, crowns, bridges and dental braces that improve patients’ appearance, speech and ability to chew. Working with specialised equipment and use a wide range of materials from gold, porcelain and plastic to meet each patients needs.

You will need to complete a degree in Dental Technology and approved by the General Dental Council (GDC). Upon completion, you will need to register with the General Dental Council (GDC).
Depending on the type of role and environment will depend on the pay. You may start on an apprentice wage which varies from organisation to organisation, or from £29,970 as a registered dental technician and earn up to £40,000.
