Social Work and Social Care

Social work involves working with individuals, families, and communities to promote well-being, protect vulnerable people, and support them through challenges such as mental health issues, disability, domestic violence, and more. Social workers act as advocates, educators, and case managers, helping people navigate various support systems and accessing resources.

Social care refers to the hands-on care provided to individuals who need support with daily living, due to age, illness, disability, or other factors. Workers in social care provide personal care, assistance with daily tasks, and support for people in their homes, care homes, or in the community.
